Laelo Catchamellow

For the past two weeks, our 3 month old puppy Laelo has been fighting the Parvo virus. He was on death's door. We had to give him IV fluids every two hours, meds three times a day, and lots of cuddles and encouragement for him to fight to live! Well, on Tuesday evening of this week, he started to drink water and sniff food. Wednesday morning, he woke up like his old self! He was wagging his tail, eating, drinking, jumping, etc. HE IS WINNING THE FIGHT!!!!

We were so scared. He is our 1st puppy, and we attached to him so quickly! We were so sad to think he may not make it.

GOD IS GOOD! HE CARES ABOUT THE THINGS WE CARE ABOUT!!!!

Keep praying for him - the fight is still on. Reoccurance is common, and I really can't afford to go through this again. SO, please pray he's fought it and won't get it again!

MAHALO, AND MUCH ALOHA!!

Thankful leaf

My Thankful Leaf for today:
I'm SO thankful for my amazing parents. My Momma is Kathy and my Daddy is Patrick. They bless me so! I feel that I'm the woman I am today because of their EXCELLENT parenting. Not only are they great parents, but THE BEST OF FRIENDS! We have such a great time when we're with them! We laugh, we talk, we laugh some more...we can be ourselves and not fear judgement. They are just some really GREAT folks.
So, thanks, awesome parents. I am SO VERY THANKFUL FOR YOU!

PUPPIES!

1. Ask'm and Laelo snugglin' 2. Laelo Catchamellow 3. Ask'm

Yep, we've got a new puppy! We are also taking care of his brother Ask'm until he finds a home....I can't have 2 dogs. A doctor I work with may take Ask'm, and he only lives a few blocks away from us. That' would be great! We could still see Ask'm!!!

So, our dog is Laelo Catchamellow. He's the one with the white flash on his face and neck. His name comes from a saying my father-in-law uses: "Lay low, Catch a mellow - if you don't lay low, he might catch you!" Funny....

And Ask'm is named by dad too....so when someone says "What's your dog's name?", you say "ASK'M!" Cute, huh?!

I love these pooches. Laelo is my 1st dog. I'm a cat person. I was raised with kitties. But just look at those faces.....SO ADORABLE!

Yep, I'm in love with my new son and nephew.
Alohaaaaaaa and "RUFF!"

Jumpin' Puddles

Ahhhhhhh the rain is here!!!

Yes!

I jumped puddles today. I got my team mates at work to jump puddles. You shoulda' seen it.

It was AWESOME!

Do you see the child in your friends? They're crying out! They wanna come play!! What about your inner child?? Are you nuturing him/her??

I may look like a dork, but I'm a happy lady. I can be the grown-up when I have to be. But I like to be the kid more often. I smile more. I appreciate more. I grow. I learn more. I see things I've NEVER seen before! Really! Just try it.

Go outside and jump in a puddle (if there aren't any puddles, either make one or jump in something else - leaves, a pile of clean clothes, blankets, oh use your imagination!! lol)

I highly suggest it. Be a kid a few times a week. Play hide and seek with a kid you know, play dress up, go for a nature walk, play hop scotch, go pick some dandelions, make some mud pies, you get the idea...)

I bet if you do this at least once a week, you'll be as giddy, corny, goofy, silly, and as HAPPY as I am!! Try it!

Happy jumpin'!!

Hi!

Yes, it's been a looooooong time since I've last posted. I've been so busy trying to juggle it all that I let a few things go. So, here I am. How've ya been? We've been busy learning, serving and going-going-going. Life's been so busy!

I'm so glad it's Autumn now. This season seems to remind me that although life is busy, this is a good time to rest. I go a bit slower in the Fall....reading by the fire, making hearty comfort dinners, baking favorite goodies, picking apples, searching for the best pumpkin.

I love the crisp weather...and the rain. We haven't had rain in a long time. We may see 3" over the next few days, the weather man says. Oooooh I hope so. I love the sound, the smell, the scene of rainfall. For some reason it sparks my insides. I'm invigorated by the rain.

So anyhoo, I know I've been MIA for a long while. I'll pop in more frequently....

Mahalo,
