Checkin' in.......

Hello! It's been awhile since I've last blogged. Life's been hectic, and right this minute, we're getting ready to head out of town to see family. I'm so excited to get outta this town! I can't wait to see the kids, laugh with my sisters, sleep deeply in a fancy hotel...yeah, my idea of a mini-vacay..............ahhhhhhhhh

Life's been crazy-busy. At work (Kidney Center), we had a State inspection (so happy to report we passed!), Lindsey's been busy with school (3.64 GPA!) and had her Home Coming Dance, Rome's been super busy at work...phew!

How has your life been? What's new with you?

I'm still here!

Yes, it's been a while since I've posted. SO much is going on! We've enjoyed our anniversary, spent lots of time with the family, and are working away. Linds is almost finished with her freshman year in high school, and is holding a steady 3.4 GPA! WHOOO HOOO!!
I'm still working at The Kidney Center, and even received a promotion! I'm now the Unit Manager. I like it. I love my patients and staff. Feels like a good fit.

Rome is the lead detailer over at Smith Volvo here in town. He loves it and they love him. Who wouldn't?!

So what's new with you? Any new news?

Mahalo and much ALOHA!!

Super excited...

Rome and I celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary March 20. I AM SO EXCITED! It's on a Thursday, and so I took Thurs, Fri, and the following Monday off. That Sunday is Easter, so we had to be creative in our planning.

Well, first off, my sis Tee is the best cook in the family. She's asked to prepare Easter day dinner and festivities, so we plan to be there in San Bernardino. We leave the 20th, and come home the following Monday. Here's where we're staying.

It's an all-suite hotel that's new to the area. It actually sits on the Ontario Mills Mall lot!! There's alot of fun to be had there! Movies, arcades, fine dining, karaoke, roller skating, etc!!!!!
Lindsey will get to stay with her cousins while we're at our get-away. She's excited too. She and her cousins Deeona and Deja are teenagers now, and have fun staying up all night, talking, laughing, dancing, well you get the idea....being girls! She's been missing them so much, so this really works out. We may bring the girls home with us when we return since they're all on Spring break that following week.
I just can't contain my excitement. We get to see the family, play with the kids, play at the mall, and relax in a fancy hotel! And, FOR FOUR NIGHTS!!! The hotel is a great deal, so we can spend our dinero faving FUN FUN FUN!!!

Only 19 more days!!!!!!!!!!

7 Weird Things About Me...

1. I still have a blankie. I can't sleep without it. My husband threatens to burn it, but knows I'll just buy another. Once while out of town I realized I'd left it home, and did buy a new one.
Hey - WHO'S IT HURTING?!?!

2. I twirl my hair. I guess it stands in for a blankie when out and about. Sad, I know.

3. I love my dad's "beans and eggs" dish. It was supposed to be fresh green beans with Hollandaise sauce, but the sauce cooked too long and became my new favorite dish.
4. I still watch Little House on the Prairie.

5. I'm not bad at Jeopardy!

6. I get lost in my own home town and surrounding areas...and I've never left!

7. I get along better with children than with adults.

There, I've FINALLY done this meme. Sorry it took so long!

I don't know who to tag! Everyone I know has done it already! lol
Mahalo!

miss me?

Yes, I've been gone for a bit. I've been working at The Kidney Center as the unit administrative assistant. I'm loving the work and the people, I've already performed CPR twice and only have been there a month and a half! Phew!

(some of our babies)
Our home is busy with the sounds of school, a new building for Jerome's detail shop, and the daily life of our little family. We become a large family quickly, with the visits from nieces, nephews, sisters, friends. And we love it. Even when it seems we won't have enough bread to go 'round, we always end up having more than enough. I love the way God does that...provides when it's humanly impossible.

So anyhoo, I thought I'd pop in and let you know I was still around.

A hui hou kakou ~ Until we meet again,

Memory of Philip

My friend Leona had to let her baby boy go to heaven a year ago today. Read her blog at http://lechugafamilia5.blogspot.com/

**WARNING** You'll need a box and a half of tissue.

I remember holding Philip at our BW luncheon, and ohhhh the sweetness. He exuded happiness and affection. His spirit was the purest, most innocent and expressive. He was a little bit of heaven sent from our Father to remind us of a place He's set aside just for us. Philip, you will forever be in our hearts.

tearfully,
